After Stephen Evangelista spent nearly ten years in the commercial/industrial water treatment business, he and his wife Jordan decided to chase their longtime dream of owning their own company and providing the high-quality customer service experiences they thought the industry lacked. They opened their business in 2020, just weeks before a global pandemic. Although it had its fair share of challenges, the timing actually allowed HQ to grow faster than anticipated, and they were able to take the business full-time as a family in 2022. Entrepreneurship has allowed them to create their own schedules and meet the ever-changing needs of their two young daughters, Medina and Venice. Their SCORE mentor Mike Canarelli has been a “hands-on” addition to their business and has offered support in every way possible to ensure their business success.
